Often the second our feet touch the ground as we get out of bed the thoughts we think have determined our day. My young son would call it a “bucket filling” or a “bucket dipping” day.
Or you may think about whether you are approaching life from a half full or a half empty mindset.
These days it can be challenging to keep our focus and energy towards a half full day.
I struggle just like everyone else.
And yet we don’t have to have our entire day be dictated the moment our feet touch the ground.
Some days our brains are a little slower going than other days.
Or as I talk to my son, sometimes we need a “reframe.” You know, when you get stuck in a rut and feel like it is a half empty day. That was me yesterday. No amount of coffee seemed to give me energy and nothing seemed to change my mindset.
Then, driving home from a dentist appointment, a podcast I listened to flipped me from empty to full.
Maybe when we are feeling half empty we just need something to flip our thoughts — that podcast, a pep talk, a break, quiet time, a bath, exercise, connecting with a friend.
Whatever reframing needs to happen you can decide at any moment to go from empty to full.
Let me know if you need help with that!
