Like a flower that has not broken through the ground, what if who we are next has not been shown to us?
Does that scare the shit out of you, or does it make you want to break through the ground and find out what is there?
“Possibility means that you might be many things that you are not yet, and it is intoxicating when it’s not terrifying.”
Oh how this idea resonates with me right now. It is from a book I am reading that a client shared with me “Recollections of My Nonexistence: A Memoir” by Rebecca Solnit. It also really resonates after going out for a drink with a friend this week and thinking about cultivating awareness that leads to bigger choices in our lives.
Have you ever thought about what is truly possible in your life?
So often we get stuck in the routine of our days (work, family, staying clean, fed, and healthy), and we forget to dream, explore and be inspired.
What if there are so many things we already are and we have no idea they exist in us under the surface?
If you knew that was possible, what would you do with that information?
Would you flee, or would you get out a shovel and start digging?
As Rebecca says, anything new or unknown can be terrifying, but I love thinking about how exciting the possibilities can be in our lives.
