It happens over time, but we all get into a rut.
We want to do it our own way.
We get stuck thinking that our way is the only way.
We get stuck in a cycle of our own thoughts.
Sometimes those thoughts circle the realm of:
I’m not good enough.
Or, I don’t know what I’m doing.
Or, they flip to the other side:
Nobody knows what they are doing.
Why am I the only one that has a clue?
Either way, we are looking at it from what WE THINK — in our own little “stuckness.”
What if we started every interaction with the thought: What can I learn from this person today?
I had this aha moment this morning, that regardless of how boring the task or how laborious, each moment we can learn about ourselves and others.
It all starts with where we start.
Do you start from knowing it all, or do you start with wanting to learn?
