The pressure we put on ourselves. It is like a balloon filling with air, it grows and stretches until it gets so thin it finally pops.
Why do we do that to ourselves?
Where did we learn to put that kind of pressure on ourselves?
Who taught us that in order to be successful we had to push really hard?
These past few months as we have moved across the country, I have spent so much more time with my son. It has been an amazing opportunity, and there have been times when I feel under pressure to get it all done, get our family settled, find a school, and make our home cozy.
Where did that pressure come from?
Who told me it had to all be a certain way?
What kind of pressure are you putting on yourself right now?
Does it need to be there?
The first step is seeing/knowing that you are putting pressure on yourself — then deciding what you want to do about it.
