This is not a time for shame

I have talked to so many individuals that have expressed they feel shame right now:

“I am not doing enough at work.”

“I am not sure what I am doing has value.”

“I am working too much and not focused enough on my children.”

“I am ashamed that I have so much anxiety for what is happening when I have so much abundance in my life.”

Stop. Stop. Stop.

You have nothing to be ashamed about. Literally.

We have never been through this before.

When people say this is unprecedented. It literally means we have never experienced this before.

We do not know how the world will operate in 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months.

We do not know what to expect.

No one knows.

Imagine that. No one really knows.

We feel shame when we think we have done something wrong.

You have done nothing wrong.

You are only doing the best that you can given the circumstances.

That is all you can do.

Take this as a moment to be radically candid.

Tell your boss how you are feeling.

Tell your family what you need.

Be vulnerable. Ask for help. Be okay that you may not be able to function in the way you did a few weeks ago.

If you are struggling with the noise in your mind, Sign up for a call with me. I can help calm the noise.
