I used to always hate when I heard someone say “it is what it is.” I mean seriously what does that really mean?
That I deserve what has been handed to me?
That I cannot control what is happening around me?
That karma is a bitch?
None of that.
What happens happens.
What you make of what happens is what matters most.
In high school one of my favorite movies was “Sliding Doors” with Gwyneth Paltrow. Partly because I was obsessed with her two hair styles, but mostly for the storyline that in a single moment a decision that is made can completely transform your life.
It is what we make each moment mean that matters.
So what if we just began and ended every day knowing it was all going to be okay?
Would that change how you approached each conversation, meeting, and interaction?
Would you lead your life from a glass full mentality?
If you knew with confidence that you could figure it out, then what is there to worry about?
Start your weekend knowing it is all going to be okay, and see how that frees your brain up to do and be more.
