Who doesn't want flexibility?

Almost every person I talk to on a daily basis is reassessing what they want in life, most specifically in the work they do everyday.

The pandemic has changed so many of us in so many ways, but it has also shown us more of what we really want in life (more time with our families, more time to work out, more space to think, less time wasted on a commute).

Companies are making choices about where they want their employees to work, and employees are deciding whether they want to stay at their companies.

Adam Grant recently posted on Instagram: “The flexibility people want isn’t remote work. It’s to set their own hours.”

Over the past two years, employees have had to juggle family at home, remote school, work, and taking care of sick family members. They have proven what is possible during seemingly impossible circumstances.

We learned what was a priority and what was just filler in our days.

Many companies are listening, some are sort-of listening and some are going back to pre-pandemic status quo.

What do you want? Have you thought about how you can embrace this time to stand for what you want, speak up, and use this pivotal moment to craft your day-to-day to work for you?

It is time to get what we really want in work and in life, and live in a way that allows us to take care of our mental and physical health, our families, and still do the best at work.

It’s possible — how bad do you want it for you?

Are you really awake?

We cannot be complacent
