Isn’t this journey all just about finding out who we really are?
And since we are constantly growing and changing, then isn’t life just learning who we are now and growing into who we will be next?
So what is the rush?
Why do we feel like we have to have a specific dollar amount in the bank before we can slow down and breathe?
Why do we have to compete so hard with others?
Why is climbing the corporate ladder never enough?
What if the journey has always ever been about living life to the fullest, where we feel most alive?
I have never liked the word “balance” because chasing balance in life never really happens — but what if what we are looking for is being centered? Having the ability to see ourselves and knowing when we are off center?
Knowing when the choices we have made or are going to make honor who we are and allow us to feel at home within ourselves.
You know when you feel stressed, anxious, and your energy is tensely flowing (or not) through your body. And, you know when you feel centered — you feel alive, the energy flows to a place of calm.
I know so many people right now pondering leaving their jobs, with a deep desire to find that next job or phase of their life that matches their values. These past two years have taught so many that we were checking a box, and not living in a centered way.
