I see you when you do not see yourself

That is one of the reasons I became a life coach — to help others see themselves.

Growing up I never felt seen.

My dad was always saying, “Children are to be seen and not heard.”

While full of energy as a kid, I also was quiet about so many things happening around me.

I did not speak up about things I should have, because I was scared of what would happen to me. Or, maybe I was scared no one would do anything about it. And… what would that mean for me?

Eventually, over time, I started to speak up. I used my voice, and sometimes it was so intense that is was more like, “Hear me roar!”

I’ve always thought about getting a tattoo on my wrist that says: LISTEN. First as a reminder to listen to those I am with and hold space for them. Second, in an opposite way, to be a reminder to myself to demand to be listened to — HEARD.

Do you see yourself? Do you hold space to make sure your voice is heard? I am here to see you, listen, and mirror back the thoughts, feelings, and beliefs you have about your life. It is the first step to make the changes and walk towards what you want in life. Sign up for a free consult call and we can chat about how to see YOU.

So about that tattoo - do you think I should get it? ;)
