I had an acupuncture appointment this week. On this visit as she put the needles in, she told me what she wanted me to focus on as I lay there (and typically then fall right to sleep).
She said to: “let go of the things that are no longer serving me.”
Wow. That was hard.
I realized there is so much consuming my mind right now that is not serving me.
So many thoughts came to my mind.
So much opportunity to purge what is not needed.
Why do we sometimes find it so hard to purge, and why do we want to hold onto thoughts that do not serve us?
It makes us feel comfortable (while also making us bat shit crazy).
We think of all the what-ifs and contingency plans of what we THINK will happen to us.
What if we just lived in the moment, and did not think about what others thought of us, or what was going to happen to us.
What if we just let it happen.
I need to keep letting go of what is not serving me.
Do you want to join me? What is not serving you this week? Post a comment and let me know!
