It has been one of the toughest years I have had in a long time. A year of growth, curve balls, change, and oddly — space. Every year I post my favorite books of the year and, interestingly, I read a lot of chick books. When things are rough, who doesn’t want to binge on happy, beach-reads? But, for those of you that want to go deep, I’ve listed my favorites… the ones that required me to dig deep.
I always have a goal to read 100 books each year. The year is not over yet and I’m at 103. Here is my list, in no specific order. I will say, 90% of the ones listed below are ones that require you to dig deep. Are you ready?
H Mart (Michelle Zaung)
You Can’t Be Serious (Kal Penn)
Recollections of My Nonexistence (Rebecca Solnit)
I Didn’t Do The Thing Today (Madeleine Dove)
Trusting the Gold (Tara Brach)
On Fire (John O’Leary)
The Desire Map (Danielle LaPorte)
Signal Fires (Dani Sharpiro)
Anchored (Deb Dana)
Be Your Future Self Now (Benjamin Hardy)
The Stories We Tell (Joanna Gaines)
What’s In the Way is the Way (Mary O’Malley)
I’d love to hear your top books of 2022. If you pick one from my list, I hope you choose, “What’s In the Way is the Way.” It’s a life-changing read.
Happy New Year!
Here are two more lists in case you want to read my favorite books from 2021 or 2020.
