Patience in a new world of delays

Patience is not something that comes easy to many of us.

We have become accustomed to everything at our fingertips 24/7 — Amazon Prime, endless streaming options, and more. Instant gratification ALL the time.

So when we have to wait, we get cranky and lose our patience.

The pandemic has definitely taught us a lesson in patience and how little we have control over things. Shipping delays, supply chain shortages, less workers at restaurants, long wait times to get appointments at medical offices, etc… which means fewer options and potentially a much longer time to wait for answers.

We might be waiting for answers to what is next in life, or how to handle a tough situation. We might be waiting for changes to happen at work.

Whatever the delay, we each have to summon up patience and focus our energy on what we can control.

In the end, it is not what is happening around us that matters but how we react to it.

What tactics do you take to stay patient and not react?
