For most of our lives we thought we could plan everything. 2020 has taught us differently.
We have no control over what is going to happen in our life. We really cannot plan for what will ever happen.
But…we can prepare.
We can be ready for an emergency. I thought we were — and then the fires hit the Pacific Northwest and now I know we are not as prepared as we thought we would be.
What happens for many of us is that we plan, and then things do not happen the way we want and we get frustrated. We tell a story that involves failure and shame because our plan did not work out, and yet it never was going to — so why do we get stuck in that broken record on repeat?
This year has taught us to be prepared for life. Have goals, have a vision for your life, but do not be so stuck on the results that you lose the point. Learning, growing, digging deeper.
