Can you remember a time in your life when you may have felt there was not enough to go around?

Maybe it was that you grew up poor and food or basic elements of survival were scarce.

Maybe you lived in a family environment that showed you that love would be given if you acted a certain way.

Maybe you were told that the only way to get ahead in life was to work really hard — so you have, but the journey has not been fun.

Or maybe fitting in felt hard, so you did what you had to do to blend in.

Each of these examples come from a mindset of scarcity.

Not enough to go around, not valuable, not seen or appreciated, not deserving.

Does that resonate with you — even if it’s a thought or feeling you do not like to look at and it is a bit hidden away?

Guess what?

You don’t have to keep that story and hold onto it anymore.

Who you are now is not who you had to be to survive.

The first step in shifting is super simple.

Notice. Be aware. Learn what thoughts and stories you are telling yourself. Our bodies are also true compasses that tell us when we are uncomfortable with a story.

Once we are aware, we then get to decide if we throw out the story and create a new one that will serve who we are now.
