Showing up at a meeting

Have you ever thought about being intentional about how you show up to a meeting?

It could be work or a personal meeting.

If it is a work meeting, who are you in the meeting? Do you talk a lot? Do you listen?

If you are running the meeting, are you prepared or are you wasting everyone’s time? Are decisions made?

We don’t always have the time to prepare for every meeting we run, but we can still be intentional so the meeting has value.

If it is a personal meeting, say a coffee date, have you ever thought about how you show up?

Do you take up all the space or take up no space?

Personal meetings are more fun and organic, especially if it is with someone you know well, but you can still be intentional about your focus with that person(s).

If you are thinking, “I’ve never really thought about it” then try it out. Be more intentional in your next meeting or chat, and see if it feels different.

How do you want to run it?
