What are your thoughts telling you about YOU?

It has been a rough few months. My mind and body cannot fathom that it is June 25. I am on Covid-19 day: 104. It still feels like April somehow. My normal routine has been blown to smithereens.

I see many of those around me struggling. Physically being on video calls all day is taking a toll on backs, shoulders, and minds. It is harder to think in ways we might have before when we are balancing kids at home, on calls all day, and still be just as productive.

What we thought was going to be over quickly is not only going on longer than ever anticipated, and the uptick of increasing cases causes anxiety.

There seems to be no end in sight.

Others are struggling with exhaustion with everything we are seeing on the news, and experiencing first hand regarding racial injustice, police brutality, and the reaction or inaction of our government.

It is leaving many emotional, depressed, and helpless.

Many do not know what to do, or do not want to do the wrong thing. We either want to control everything or we feel out of control.

If you are thinking of thoughts like:

“I do not feel heard.” Stop and look at where you are not listening to yourself.

“Others are not doing enough.” Stop and look at what you are doing.

“They should do it my way.” Stop and listen to their way.

“My boss does not pay attention to me.” Stop and see if you are paying attention to yourself.

If we can stop, listen to the thoughts spinning through our mind all day, and turn them back on ourselves, we might see where we can grow. The painful thought about another is just a painful thought we have about ourselves.

If you want to try it with a coach, who can help you see and hear your thoughts, sign up for a call with me and I can show you how easy it is to flip our thoughts back to ourselves.

I dare you to try it.
